Ashen Clouds 03:29
Pure darkness devours the land, rivers of pitch black lava descend from the mountains above and scourge the plains leaving smoking ashen trails of death. Nothing left alive, the clouds cover the remains, until the winds, lift the curtains of death. Lux aeterna omnia clarissima flamma collustrat, veritatem aperit.

Ode al sole che splende su me da mattina a sera e ogni volta che splende su me la gioia è sincera, e fintanto che splende il calore si spande e la luce discende su me e mi acceca; il cuore risponde a mille domande mai fatte da te. Feel the warm rays of the sun. There's no reason to stay under the sun in this goddamn morning, I would rather be at home with a cold beer in my hand; but for some fuckin' reason I must sing this song no one will like, under the rays of the sun. The warm rays of the sun. Don't be ashamed and bathe, let your skin feel the light under the warm rays of the sun. Now take a deep breath and receive the light.

There's a strange desire that comes to my mind, it burns like a fire and it makes me blind. I cannot see ('cause I am) I am blinded by light. It feels like I'm floating through the skies towards the sun. It feels like I'm flying at the speed of light. Be aware of the sun that burns your frail skin, see as it evaporates, under the scorching rays. No escape, your flesh is melting, you can't run, you have no legs; the only thing you see is a black flame, combusting, consuming your brain! At the end of it all there is something I don't get, and I had this desire long gone from my mind; there's no more any fire but I am still blind.

I don't give a fuck, now I've no more fucks to give because I'm a generous man and I gave all I had to you and you know... that if I had one single fuck in my heart, of course, it would be yours, ever yours. This time will be the last I promise, I won't ask you to do this again; let me know that you care and don't always say... Look at all the fucks I give: they're so many I'm surrounded, can't you see them? They're all over me, let me show you, here they are: What? You didn't see them? How strange! They're so many and all around me, sparkling and shining. They're endless and inscrutable, they're restless as a crucible melting anger with madness and hatred and sadness.

If you're listening to this song because it's free, then you'll forgive my sudden lack of creativity. But if you spent your money I hope it was worth this story. The story I'm gonna tell you will take us in far, far away, land my child, a land where all people are happy and the sun shines upon the plains. They had a secret, my child: they didn't give a fuck, about everything... Now, let me tell you this story before I lose my fuckin' temper! You're in a land that's full of mystery. Under the rays of the moon we live and prosper. We come at night to fulfill all your desires, we are the ones you dream of, we're made from fantasies and deeds undone.

Welcome to the weird side of music you shall not enjoy (this music is strange) unless you're insane and in that case you'll listen to all this song. You won't listen any shit like this 'cause everybody else would be ashamed (this music is weird) so this is the weird side of music nobody likes, not even me. (Even now I don't know what I'm doing) don't know what to say, I just need a rhyme, so I'll leave it this way 'cause I've got no time. Hope you like it!

In hoc die invenies, gratiæ portentum, rerum futurarum significatio. The things you lost were burdens keeping you down, now with nothing to lose you can fly and reach your peace: the peace of mind.
9.
Floating, senseless, in the dark depths of an unknown universe; alien galaxies full of answers to questions never made. Full of energy, everything that's shining dies inside; spiral galaxies hypnotize with spectacles of light.
10.
Far, far away, in a place between distant unknown galaxies, there was a singularity. Just a point, you can't see it, it has no form, no space, no time... it doesn't even exist, it can't be real! What is this inconceivable point, this exception, compared to the shiny stars and galaxies that surround it? Still this point attracts everything near and distant, a supermassive black hole devouring light, time and space; growing its invisible mass against all physical laws. This collapsing light-devouring anomaly draws everything and the frictional forces compressing those materials raise the temperature, generating radiations and light. So, this black hole vacuums a cloud of light, a quasar, the most bright object in space, and blasts out an outflow which will form nebulae, new stars and planets. Destruction and creation, light and darkness, an endless cycle of changing in which everything will eventually take another form. Just think of it: we are all made from stars, even your neighbour who keeps the TV's volume loud every fucking night and when you complain, next morning, about the noise that keeps you awake all night long, he says "It wasn't me!".

about

"Light and Weirdness" (2018 - Masked Dead Records) is the second album made by The Voices. After a strange and original debut, The Voices is ready to deliver some new music full of that characteristic that made this project (in)famous: weirdness.

The formula of this one-man project is the same: making music using only voice and without vocal effects (other than reverb, mixing and mastering... obviously!), breaking all limits and rules - and perhaps even decency - creating this Experimental Avant-Garde A Cappella.
In this second album there's more variety and rhythm, a lot of vocal styles and techniques (even very exotic ones) mixed with irony and creativity. The "instrumental" intro (made with voices) is just one of the many provocations of this album; here you can find ethnic music (from all the continents!), extreme metal, rock, techno, hip-hop, spoken, ambient, space, jazz, classical music and other ones, mixed in unpredictable ways. This album is about the light that can be found in our life, in our world, even in our universe: light can blind you or can show you the way. Light and Weirdness is a torch spreading light in a room full of oddities that will make your day... an album about light, to be taken lightly! This album is technique, irony and fun; an unusual way to discover all the things you can make with voice (if only you wouldn't be ashamed!). Hate it of love it!

This was made with invaluable guests: Matteo Antonelli screaming in Ashen Clouds (a mix of black metal and epic/gregorian music) and Alien Galaxies (basso profondo vocals on classical/space-ambient atmospheres); Ramona Gallizzi soprano in The Rays of the Sun (weird choral music with gospel, blues and oriental influences); Rugeria Gallizzi soprano in Under the Rays of the Moon (middle-eastern and tribal, with some jazz and ambient) and Lucia Valensisi contralto in Dies Reversurus (mostly classical oriented music, with gregorian parts and a folk end).
